I guess I just jumped in here with out introducing myself. I saw a few articles I wanted to comment on, so just started posting.
We were the AMC family on the block. I learned to drive and took my test in Mom's 66 Ambro 990. We traded that for a 1970 Gremlin.I remember having 3 on the lot to choose from. Our's had the back seat, opening rear window and A/C. It was the A/C that sold it to my mother. Later we had several more. My first new car, when I graduated college was a 77 Gremlin. Silver with berry bucket seats. If I can find a nice 77 Gremlin, I'll buy it.
Now I own a 69 AMX, 390 4sp. Go-pak car that is in a thousand pieces. I call it being restored. I also have a 79 Pacer V-8 Limited Wagon.
I have the web site www.americanmotorsracing.com. I got interested in raing AMCs when I bought my first 2 seater AMX that had been a race car. It's gone now.

Welcome Ron.  From an Ambo to a Gremlin.  That was quite a switch.

Ron, always glad to have another long-time AMC fan around here.  And a racer to boot.  We've got a few of those guys hanging around here too.  Smiley  Thanks for stopping in and introducing yourself.  We like to meet and greet, after all, the people are what makes this AMC thing go, more than the cars.  Make yourself at home here.  Welcome to The AMC Heritage Forum...  Smiley
