Here's a nice looking station. This is about a 1/2 mile down the road from where I work. Its been an upholstery shop for as long as I can remember. They've been closed for at least a year now. Imagine this place painted in an approriate manner & restored!! This one is 1/2 mile from work in the other direction. I think it may have been a Phillips station. The canopy originally would have gone out to a point. The last use was a BBQ/ice cream stand/laundromat/ car wash. A few years ago a local paper had a poll on the biggest eyesores in the area. This station was in the top 5, maybe #1 This one is a couple of miles from the others. I never remember it pumping gas, but I do remember pumps in front of it years ago.

Great pics! The second one was definitely a Phillips 66 station, We still have a few of those around here being used for other purposes.

This is a GREAT idea! I'll probably set them up a board of their own, so we can start organizing them for those who are out driving or on tour, to look up and spot them as they drive by... Kind of like a smaller scale version of the dealership board. mike

OK, the board is set up, it's right after Attractions & Destinations, under The Road. There are states for the posts in this thread that mention them.
If we can, please, let's get the locations on these buildings. Address, GPS, Highway numbers, section of the state, county, anything you care to provide.
My brother in law is into something called geocaching, where they run around the whole country on scavenger hunts whenever they've got the RV on the road. We could kind of use this the same way.
If you're not sure which way you're going to go when you take a trip, you could plan your route to catch a couple of old gas stations from this list, or Lost Dealership Project. Maybe both. A way to reach into the past and see history, or to set up a rendezvous with another AMC Heritage buff.
And if you're traveling between two neat old buildings, you might have better odds of spotting a third one, somewhere in between. mike

Yes, all those stations are in Pittsburgh Pa. The first one is at 2138 Babcock blvd, the second is at the corner of Sewickley-Oakmont rd & Rochester rd, the Phillips station is in the 3200 block of Babcock Blvd. All are 15237 zip code. All are within a few minutes of the Heil's AMC building in West View Pa. Scott

Thanks for the locations on those, scott. I'm interested in spotting some old stations on my next trip, dealerships too. There could be some very interesting routes among all of these old places. mike

I love the old style gas stations. At Work, there is an old pump from the 50s sitting outside

Be careful when you say an old pump from the 50's. Many of us pumped a lot of gas out of them.

I have an original 1950's Gilbarco pump in my basement office. When I got it there was still an original Sohio globe installed. Selling the globe paid for the rest of the pump and a repro globe!

Here's a great looking garage that I suspect may have pumped gas at one time. It's on Rt 88 in the Mt Lebanon Overbrook section of Pittsburgh. Sorry, no address on this on as I didn't see one on the building. I've seen some other garages/service stations with the big Champion ad on the side in the Pittsburgh area. She's for sale too!!!!
