This model was rumored to have been coming to the US before the Chrysler buyout. Could have become the 1988 AMX!  Shocked

I could see that happening.  A few AMC styling cues would have set it apart from standard Alpines.

Automobile magazine did a story on it in late 1987; the one pictured in the story was a US spec vehicle (bumpers, CHMSL etc....) I'd LOVE to know what happened to it.....
