Check out this great photo from eBay! They were located at Geary Blvd. and 2nd Avenue, San Francisco?

Great shot of a well stocked and attended parts counter.

I'm sooooooo jealous....I doubt anyone will be looking at pictures of the Toyota parts dept I work in in 40 years...It looks as though the tech counter & retail counter are combined here....you see that in old dealerships now...new buildings all have a seperate counter for the techs vs off street customers.  I'd love the catalog rack in the ctr of the photo, though I wonder if my boss would agree...it'd look a little out of place in a Toyota store... How many new generation parts persons even know how to use the catalog rack -- even to know the order the catalogs go in?

I've been looking for a good parts dept. photo...  What an awesome shot from the past.

Makes the EN Parts store look pathetic.  Wink   But we are relocating to a larger area as the inventory is growing.    Grin

I get made fun of @ work by the younger techs BECAUSE I know how to use microfiche & printed catalogs....they find it hard to believe that's how it was done before the age of electronic parts catalogs...
