g'day all Smiley

have people got really parinoid  on ebay or am i just senisitive??? Huh i saw this nice black 65 rambler convertible on ebay, wow i thought  i like that....$8500, buy it now ...in my price so i send the seller a question asking about car  tell him im really interested in his car , and will ckeck shipping cost as i dont wont to stuff him around  etc,and in the meantime i got a shipping cost to australia ...$4400 in total in its own container ,and around $1500 in import duty ...great i can afford this !..so landed in oz it was gunna cost me $16000, but its in my budget..im excited  Grin...THEN  i get this lame ass reply  by the seller  Angry..".please suplly me your name home address /home phone number ,employement details /adress/ and phone number...and i will see wot i can do"....i thought is this guys for real??? Roll Eyes Huh >:...he posted his reply on ebay as well,so if i supplied all my info  would he would put it on ebay as well??? Huh(, i even sent my personal email to him ...he  didnt tell me about the car etc...any way in the mean time my importer has organised a pre car inspection from a servive based in califorina , that was costing me $350US,...waiting for my ok...and contact details of the seller ..in the meantime again, i send the seller another email, tell him that im genuine, asking if he can contact me, via my email/or thru ebay  or give me his phone number, asked him more questions about the car....get a reply, says he has to protect his privacy/ ok fine ...but then sell it threw a broker!!!! Roll Eyes answers a question about the gearbox, nothing about rust condition repairs  etc  ::)and still  no phone number to contact him,and stuff all info on the car.!......well i watch the auction to like  and the reserve is dropped to $5250....and it then sells for $5700, Shocked f/me!!! Huh i really really wanted to bid on this car,and own it ...BUT  i could be buying a rust bucket ....but most importantly if i won the auction i  coundnot get any info prior the sale ,i did not want to think of wot would happen if a purchased it....
sorry if i had gone on, and if i had offended anyone etc i dont know if the seller is a member ...sorry .But this guy just lost a sale of his car at $8500, YES  i would had bought it if it was clean,.....his loss . was he freaked out that i was in australia??? maybe he thought i was a bum Angry and not a car collector like him. Roll Eyes..i will keep looking....but it looked like a nice car!

just had to vent my frustration, im over it ,done over and out

keep cruzin

Maybe suspicious because of the possibility of a scam or because of your learned questions about the car.

His loss, for sure.  Never know about those things.  I've had a guy run a credit check on me over a 10 dollar Johnny Lightning car.
