From the Flickr photo album of Nigel Smuckatelli, a track official at the event...

Nigel writes, "The Mark Donohue/Peter Revson AMC Javelin owned by Roger Penske and sponsored by Sunoco at the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona. The Javelin had a Rambler 5000 cc engine. The car had to withdraw after 205 laps with oil pressure problems.  The car was gridded 19th with a time of 2:08.4."

Nigel also has this nice pic of Team Highball Levi's Gremlin No. 7 at Sebring, year unspecified, but obviously 1974 or later...

The THB Gremlin almost looks like a temporary change to #71.

I believe you are right.  I think it has been changed to 71.  I'll have to see if I can find the grid for like '74-'76 time period and see if it's shown as 71.  I think they run a straight grid at Sebring, where the number on the door is the entry number regardless of class.  You'll notice the Penske Javelin is running as car 0 at Daytona.  They would have had to be the first entry to get that number.  Donohue always preferred number 6 or 7.  It wouldn't stop him from racing, of course, but he, like most drivers, had a preference on door number.
