If found this picture that said it was from a dealership.  It appears they are introducing the new 1950 Rambler along side a Jeffrey 1902 Rambler.  Odd looking dealership. I wonder if it is a picture of a display at some kind of trade show?  The picture is from the Chuck Storyland site.  http://chuckstoyland.com/nash/rambler/index.html

This looks like a hotel or a movie house.  Maybe it's a temporary display in a large local lobby, strictly for announcing the Nash Rambler, and generated publicity for the area dealers.

The steering wheel on the older car tells us it's a 1903 or later Rambler, although steering wheels could be retrofitted to the 1902 model.  That did require modification or replacement of the front axle or steering gear, however, so most steering wheel Ramblers of this shape are 1903 or 1904 models.  After all, there were only a maximum of around 1500 cars built in 1902, so most of the survivors are known cars.  Since the design did not change greatly during this time, even company execs often referred to any of these original Ramblers as a 1902 model.

Thanks Mike.  I went by the caption on the picture.  That is understandable about folks calling later models 1902 models because of its origin date.   Much like fire arms.
