Rozanski Motors 190 Main St. Perry, NY

This dealership was open (selling & repairing used cars) until about 8 years ago.

It's amazing just how many original AMC signs are still standing after 20+ years!

I want to try and buy this sign but I know the current owner (Mrs. Rozanski). Chet Rozanski was the last owner of this dealership (his father started the business). Chet passed away about 7 years ago. His wife inherited the dealership (it had been only a car repair & used car shop for the last 20 or 30 years). I had been buying parts from Chet for 30 years and the last time I stopped to see him, his wife was there and just about blew a gasket when she heard that I wanted to buy a few things (obsolete parts) from him. I think that they knew that he had terminal cancer at the time. She thought she was going to inherit a good mine of parts and million dollar business. I saw some of her parts at a swap meet a few years ago with prices that would challenge high dollar Mopar parts. The irony was it was stuff like metal brackets for early 60's Ramblers and miscellaneous junk. Stuff nobody wanted then and nobody wants now. So if I inquire about that sign, I am sure that she will want a kings ransome for it....

I have quite a few different advertising items from this dealer (I knew the owner). The strangest piece I have is a fly swatter from Rozanski. What makes it unique is it's a short little swatter made to fit into your glove box...
